Angel Falls VenezuelaAt the Venezuelan mainland we find the most famous tourist attraction, Angel Falls Venezuela, which is the world’s highest waterfall with its 978 m! This means more than 16 times the height of the Niagara Falls! 
It was named after the American pilot Jimmie Angel who 1937 made an emergency landing on Plateau Mountains of Auyantepuy, where the waterfall has its inflow. Angel Falls are located in Canaima National Park, the wilderness of Venezuela. An entire trip to Angel Falls usually takes about 24 hours from Margarita Island. To reach Angel Falls you first fly to the town of Canaima. Thereafter you will have to take either a small aeroplane or a boat to get to the falls.
