Pleasantly enough there are no private margarita beaches; this has the governor of the Isla de Margarita decided. You are welcome to the hotel’s beaches even if you are not guest on that hotel.

Playa El Agua

Playa El Agua is the most popular of all Margarita Island beaches. This beach is the island’s longest, widest, busiest and most serviced beach. With kilometres of fine white sand lined with coconut palms, shallow and kind waves.

The beach is 4 km long and about 30 m wide with clear water all year long. Here, you will find all type of conveniences. Bungee jump, ultra light plane rides, music concerts and many sport activities.

But the most common beach activities are to walk along the water’s edge, to eat fresh sea food, to drink cocktails and as a matter of course tan in the sun.

The beach has a tendency to of growing pains, everywhere along this beach there are building new hotel complexes. But even if the tourism has significantly increased on Isla de Margarita you will still find our own little peacefully beach.

Playa Parguito

Playa Parguito is situated in the Southeast end of Isla Margarita. The beach is approximately 1000 m long and about 20 m wide. The waters tend to be more oceanic at Playa Parguito which has made it a perfect place for surfing.

Playa Parguito is the surfer’s hot spot. There are many young people here and the music is played loudly and there quite often a party going on, especially on the holidays.

Playa Parguito does not offer as many restaurants and other conveniences than Playa El Agua but it is still well liked by people that seek more privacy among the Isla de Margarita beaches.

Playa El Yaque

Playa El Yaque is located in the south of Isla de Margarita. In the windy waters outside Playa El Yaque there are always plenty of sails. This little beach has become an eldorado for windsurfing. It is one of the world’s greatest spots for windsurfing and there are steady side shore winds about 25 knots plus.

Here at Playa El Yaque there are several windsurfing schools located where expert windsurfers can train for the international regattas. The place is also perfect for beginners in windsurfing.

Because of its windy conditions Playa El Yaque also has become a very popular kitesufing destination in the last few years. Here you will find a spot that probably boast the highest number of wind days in the whole world.

Playa El Yague is located near the airport and offers many services including an awesome hotel’s infrastructure, great restaurants and other sport’s related shops.
